That's because they've seen the videos of you on the 1/4 and think sod that if he thinks we're insuring him the way he drives...

As per the OP's thread title, if it's the one MRP took a couple of shots of recently then I think it's a good looking car.
If your young and struggling with the insurance then modding the car is a definite no no, and if your thinking it's OK I won't tell the insurance company then quite frankly I think your mad! Modifying a car and not telling the insurance company appears fine right up until the point you have an accident then if you need to make a claim and an assessor comes out with more than a few brain cells finds out your car is modified then you might as well have no insurance at all as you breech the terms of your insurance by not telling them.
My advise is keep it clean and look after it for a few years, it's certainly a nice looking car anyway, build your no claims up and either get another car or start modifying this one when you can afford it, but what ever you do don't run the risk of voiding your insurance for a few extra hp's.

If he keeps it long enough, there's plenty of work planned for his car to up it's standard so by the time his insurance drops a bit, it'll be very close to mint (with some subtle extras)

like I said... If he keeps it...
He's a bloody nightmare with cars, although this is the longest he's kept a car since the last landrover
