    Faded red paintwork

I thought that pinkish, white faded red cars was the paint coming off......? This link seems to think differently? Does this really mean that my patchy white, pink in places 850R could look like new again by simply doing what it says in the link?

    http://www.clean-image.co.uk/article..._paintwork.htm

I have now spent 15 hours cleaning her up and here are the results

I did spend a lot of time looking into polishers, buffers etc, but it came down to elbow grease in the end.

Dunno about the paint work but if you run a heat gun over the front and rear bumper trims, it will bring it back to the original colour.

    red paint

I dont have experience with detailing
I have been in the same position as yourself,
I used red colour magic/t cut/ mer and others over a period of time
But the white just kept reappearing
Ended up repainting the bonnet, if you can get a good painter to match it to your car it will make the car look brand new.

Get a good car valeting place to mop it, worked wonders with my old audi 80, but you will need to wax it often, unfortunatly red paint fades very easily on older cars. I waxed it every month and it had the best paintwork of all of my cars, i saw it about 7months after i'd sold it and it had lost all its shine and was covered in pink blobs.

    Please don't!!! It's horrendous stuff.

All it does is stain the problem which will return with subsequent washing. It is difficult to use and makes a mess.
