had to pop into Halfords today so thought i'd pick up some grey primer while i was bored & started tidying up the interior, still got alot to do inside put thought i'd have a go anyway
also skimmed the boot skin down some more

found a tin of WD40 & finally got the front door free, amazing how easier it is to work on the inside with the doors off (drivers door still wouldn't shift tho)
not exactly one of the most important jobs on the list, but i got bored & fitted the camera mounting
small enough not to get in the way of the rear view mirror
a snapshot from the video, not bad quality i don't think (might move the angle up a bit more)
again not exactly an important job but one that needed doing, got the temperature gauges powered up. The battery was very flat & hoping thats why the Apexi wasn't happy & didn't turn on some of the time, now got to wire the sensors for the boost controller & the temp gauges (not today tho lol)

the bottom one is reading the air filter, top one is ambient engine bay temperature,
I'v got another two, one for boost temp and one for TB intake temp. The air filter generally runs at the same temp as the car's temp display within about a quarter of a mile.
I just took that picture about 10 minutes after switching the engine off.

this was a nice surprise, fits straight on (just need to sort out the throttle body & linkage)
messed about with the manifold again today & got it all trial fitted. All of the manifold bolts fit in lovely, the injectors are fitted & decided to use the original early spec fuel rail & regulator for now. The throttle body isn't going to be as hard to fit as i was first worried about & even the throttle drum will be quite easy to do, just the idle control valve to sort then which shouldn't be that bad
I like that mate i guess the p/steering is out the window lol, i want one with the corner cut out.

got my alloy block yesterday & started making the adaptor up for the throttle body. The hole on the ME7 manifold for the ETM is bigger than the 960 throttle body, but a couple of the holes lined up nice enough to bolt it all together. Just got to drill & thread the middle 2 bolts for the throttle body & drill the 76mm hole thru the adaptor
a few more holes to drill, then the throttle cable & all done
need to sort some longer bolts, but you can see how the adaptor works

paypal has been raided again, & now i've won it i can let you in on another little trick. The factory power steering pump got filed in the garage a while ago & just came across a Saxo electric power steering pump at a decent price, won it for £30. I'm thinking of fitting it into the boot, having it wired on a switch & might even put an regulator inline to adjust the amount it works
library picture, the ebay advert i won has got a naff picture
