    faulty sunroof

    Today my sunroof stopped working when I press the button you here the motor kick in but the sunroof doesn't move any suggestions people

    What car??

    Don't know about the bigger and/or newer stuff, but old 400s had a little key way in the motor spindle with a little tool inside the cover to wind it back if the motor stuck.

    Maybe worth popping the cover off??

    Is this with the S70 R? Have you tried raising the roof and fully retracting it with the switch and neither works?

    Its on an s70 and nothing works tryed pushing it while I press the swith it doesn't move

    When I push the button you can hear the motor but it doesn't move going to strip it down tomorrow and have a look

    I don't think they have a manual crank

    Must be a 400 thing then.

    Volvo knew it was only a matter of time before they failed, so fitted the fix

    I've got a whole fully working sunroof cassette for sale I removed from my 98 V70 R I'm breaking if you need it?

    I stripped it done took the motor off and the motor works fine its the cables that seem to be the problem how do I get to the cables

    is it jammed or just the position sensor buggered
