To the best of my knowledge blues and whites flow exactly the same.
Correct, Nick, same flow rate at 3 bar so no reason apart from having a spare set for less downtime on the car - it's my daily

If I changed the FPR to 3.8 bar the blues can flow higher at about 395 cc/min but no plans to do that so far. The map/power level suits the car very well.

Last couple of jobs before heading back to work

Cleaning the bird ££££ off - never tried this before...wetting a cloth & laying it over the ££££e to soften it........and some locking bolts finally! I may regret this)

If you really have OCD you would describe it as CDO . That is in alphabetical order

Small update - I seem to have fixed the 3CD changer using the method in the thread below.

    http://www.vpcuk.org/forums/showthre...ht=#post778355

I put it all back together, code back into radio then went to start the car & got nothing - or a least ignition lights with no cranking. Starter relay was clicking but nothing doing. Relay was new btw as I had this fault briefly before and assumed I had fixed it...........like y'do.

So, thinking that there was a dodgy connection somewhere I took off the feed to the boost gauge light, USB box thing and manual fan switch. I also re-made some cuts that had been made to the loom behind the radio....assuming for connecting aftermarket stuff...must remember to solder those & insulate again.

Still nothing. Replaced all mentioned connections making sure they were as sound as possible & insulated. Supposed to be on the Eurostar in a few hours & still at the other end of the country.........DON'T PANIC...very quickly traced the fault to a dodgy connection on the back of the starter solenoid - the thin green/brown wire. I disconnected everything here and cleaned up with WD40 (or equivalent*). The green/brown wire multi-plug I tried to close up a little for a tighter fit and pushed the plug on/pulled it off several times to clean it up.

Sorry for no photos it was all a bit rushed. But I am now about 500 miles up & no non-starts!

*GT85. Other cheapo spray lubricants are also available from the Pound Shop.

..& shot of the average MPG after 1044 mile round trip. Maybe not very accurate but well over 30 I would think:

I didn't pay much attention to fuel stops, as soon as it was down to half a tank & spotted a Shell '98 Sans Plomb' sign I filled her up, no brim-to-brim checking. It was doing well over 200 miles for half a tank/approx. 3 hours driving hence the guess of 30+ mpg.

I checked my 850 trip computer versus full tank method and it was found to overread mpg by 1mpg i.e. 32mpg on trip computer versus 31mpg calculated.

Quite impressed with the accuracy to be honest.

Glad you got your wiring sorted and that not a bad average for an 'R' and probably at a fairly swift pace as well. Mine was returning approx 14.5 mpg on the way home from shakey with exhaust hanging off just tootling along....lol

    Ah, these MPG readings...

Methinks noone's told the computer that the injectors have been changed?!

I'd go along with Jamesy though, prob just a nudge over 30mpg, not bad going really for a 300 horse motor
