I never have a full tank, save weight means saving fuel!

I can. When the M6 is packed, and I feel tired, I'll happily sit at 60 or so behind a wagon. When it drops to 52, I have to get past.............

best is on the m1 leeds bound its 50mph and sometimes 40mph thats when you watch the mpg climb.
ya ya i have a big turbo car but its sometimes the fun to see what mpg a volvo can really do. as motorways are sooo dull, on a run to cornwall last week from york i did about 480 miles on a full tank and that was going to raf brize norton 1st.

39 ish at 70mph. A healthy engine with clean injectors, filters and oil will give good economy when you want it and power when you need it.

I get about 24 on petrol and 18 on LPG at the moment, but I haven't finished the stage 0... and I have an LPG leak

Thats a mix of motorway and heavily congested city traffic. The trip computer was showing around 28mpg on the drive back from Seb's (over the snake pass), but I was taking it very steady then, new car and all that...
    Currently - '96 850R auto

    Previously - '97 S70 T5 manual, '98 V70R AWD auto, '98 V70R Auto in Nautic Blue Mica with LPG (went to Germany!), 1996 850R Auto, lots of various 940s, 960s and a crappy 850 2.0

I struggle to get 25 - 26 mpg average and that's driving carefully, resetting the computer before each trip and before starting the engine.

If I rag the car about I get about 20 - 21 mpg over the journey. Dreadful considering this time last year I was getting 30+ mpg.

Managed a nice 34mpg on the way to Stratford yesterday (about 180 mile round trip) then had a bit of fun on the quarter mile followed by a spirited drive home to finish off at 28.8mpg
