    Anyway to get better economy

with some new cars now the ecu shuts down a bank of cylinders or a cylinder, is there any way when cruising to say shut down a cylinder to give better cruise mpg or when round town.

A well serviced car will give you good Mpg, I also found having a walbro and larger injectors improved my mpg, Blacky achieves between 34-38 mpg and around 30 runing about.

My R seems to have a apitite for fuel im seeing around 32mpg on a run, low 20's around town, but i suppose thats auto for you.

I bought an Alfa 156 2.4JTD to save me money on fuel. I do high mileage and I'm saving 12-13p/mile on fuel alone in comparison to the R, T5 and T-5R.

Exactly, I've tried to squeeze the maximum mpg out of mine on my business mileage, and even driving like V70 Graham, I've only managed 30-31 at best, in a manual as well. Hence the diesel for me for the bulk of my miles.

I managed 426 miles on 1 tank (62.5L/ 13.7 gallons) going to GW & back - which was really quite good I thought. Thats just over 30 mpg.

With Victor-ia, I've managed upto 460 miles before the re-fuel light has come on. She will do 35mpg when driven steadily.

When I bought my C70 T5 last year I averaged about 38mpg (on the trip computer at least) over a 110 mile trip on the way home with it, was impressed! And no, that really wasn't with me being that gentle at all!

Exactly what my car is, a manual C70 T5, and she's by far the most economical out of the 3 that I have.
