I've had a full set of Avon ZV5 on a different car before and they were great!
They don't have a very good looking sidewall though if you're fussy lol but they were fab in the wet!

Falken ZE912 proved to be quite capable mind on the C70 when I got it, they look good too

Get a pair of ZV5 for £146.38 delivered.

I'm genuinely baffled by AcidicDavey's "They don't have a good looking sidewall" comment tbh.

I've got Yokohama Parada Spec 2 tyres on my 850 and the grip levels when dry are phenomenal, when wet they're still good although I had GSD3's on my old car and they were brilliant in the wet. Another tyre worth considering for wet weather performance is a Uniroyal very good wet weather performance from those.

Yep XL, it was at 29psi when I checked it later, normally I run 38 all round. The ground slopes there making it look a lot worse than it was.

I Run Michelin Pilot Sport 2's they are the best of all the tyres I have used, in second place are the Dunlop's mentioned by Woody.
I would say the Prada spec 2's where in second place for the grip levels, but come the weather and the Dunlop's win in the wet, so for that reason they come 3rd for me, I have had Eagle f1's to but they just didn't last even though the levels of grip where similar to the prada's but I did not get to play with them in the wet as they only lasted the summer.

i tried a few different front tyres on the 850 and finally settled on Hankook ventus v12's. excellent grip and ride quality for the price. Seemed to suit the roads up here well

Yeah, I'm a bit weird like that, not keen on the little ridged lines in those blocks either side of the 'Avon ZV5'.

It doesn't matter one bit I know (and tbh in Martin's pic they don't look as bad as I remember).

Like I said, I'm bloody weird!

Ive run mitchelin pilot sport for years and they are the best tyre ive used there not bad in the wet but brilliant in the dry and there the only tyre that lasts for me when i first got the t5 i went through a few sets if cheeper tyres all were buggered around 3-4k miles so since then ive moved over to mitchelin they are expensive but there not in the long run as they last more than double the time cheeper tyres do

2nd what greg says on the eagle f1s only lasted around 4k on front of my t5r was going to try the asymmetric as they are conventional pattern instead of directional as directional seem to wear quicker in any brand imo......have zv5s now if im honest look a little chunky on the front of an 850 well to me anyway...guess im fussy about how tyre look too drives me mad when a car isnt running 4x same tyres lol
