    Cool My Little 480 Celebration!!

Right, I haven't been on here for a bit since I had my hands full with a mk3 Golf Gti but I sold that 4 weeks ago for a nice profit and decided to get the 480 back on the road!

I bought the car in March 2011 when my V70 was playing silly §§§§§§s but took it off the road in June that year as the alternator failed and needed a car for the next day as I was going on holiday! It has been in storage since then but it has an MOT tomorrow!!! Wish us good luck

Here she is after a bloody good clean up on Saturday.

    These were taken today:

Hopefully I'll have good news tomorrow, very excited!

They are great little motors, really fun to drive but a bit slow maybe.

That's not an R, just a regular V70 AWD hence the ridiculous ride height! She's been of the road since June and don't really though what to do with it anymore

Love it! Reminds me of the white 480 I had about 10 years ago.

Had to sell it becuase the back seats weren't practical for 3 kids..........

I had a turbo 480 a wee while ago, so much fun in such a little box apart from the disco lights on the dash board.

    Talking

So the car's MOTed, passed no probs after the front brakes were cleaned and the headlight aim was sorted but the starter failed on the garage so only got the car back on Friday. She runs perfectly done nearly 200 'fun' miles. Car is almost faultless!

Here are some more pics I took today after another wash

More pics soon when I fit my new wheels

I quite like the colour too Dave, feels kinda "familiar".... Can't think why!!

Seriously though, the car looks top mate, well done on getting the little buzz-box back on the road!

I got the new wheels on it today with Avon ZV5 185/55R15 tyres mounted on the 15x7J RH Toplines. 1.5 inches wider than original wheels with 12mm less offset and they've transformed the handling, no joke!

It does look much more aggressive Dave, just need to lower it a little now and it'll corner like it's on rails!!

That's one of the things I love about 480s, yeah they're only 110bhp (2.0 anyway), but they weigh as much as a shoe box filled with helium and they're really chuckable!
