Centre console window switch

Hi All, My passenger side window switch (centre console cluster) only works reliably in the down direction. Until now it has been intermittantly working going up (with a bit of fiddling), but stopped today (so I have a window stuck partially down). I've tried electrical contact cleaner and even drilled a small hole in the switch to squirt it right inside... but this did not help. I suspect I need to replace the cluster, as the switches appear to be unserviceable unless someone knows different. Does anyone: a) know how I could raise the window without taking the centre console apart? b) know how the switch could be fixed.... or a workaround that doesn't involved the purchase of a new one? c) have a scrap switch cluster they would like to sell? This is partly true, you can clean the contacts which I have now done, and the window has now back up. [ATTACH=CONFIG]32138[/ATTACH] Picture shows switch the contacts and ball bearings absent (removed with tweezers). HOWEVER.... the switch was not left as good as new... the rocker is no longer anchored. Some plastic must have snapped somewhere. Also the switch functionality is still nowhere near perfect... it's as good as it was a few weeks ago. It seems the bad contact has melted part of the contact, and this will never be right unless I change the metal contact. I've secured the switch with some duct tape for now. So still in the market for a new cluster if anyone has got one ? Cheers C

Pretty certain I have a spare cluster - will have a dig around in the garage. I think I had similar probs to you, replaced it, and then grabbed another as a spare when I had the chance. If I have got it you can have it for £10 posted.

PM Sent, pics attached... Is this what you are after? You can see from the length of cable to the connector that its a bit of a way inside the console. Hi All Have just had to replace the master switch in my car, after the the meet and greet driver at Heathrow knackered both window switches, in fairness they where both playing up! Luckily we had a switch from a car that we broke to do an auto to manual conversion to my sons T5R. Switches are no longer available from Volvo, although doing some internet searching Scandix have the 4 window switch version for 188 euro. The individual switches, part number 1347063 appear to be still available from various places and fit other Volvo models and also Volvo trucks. Cost is from about £10 to £20 each so not really that expensive, just a bit of time with a soldering iron.
