Having fallen onto a new S60 t5 that I couldn’t refuse, space means disposal of the daily driver as wife wants to keep an estate car rather than have 2 saloons. This is a car that has served me well, has done 142000 and I bought her at 88000 3 years ago. Maintained regardless of expense by Squires/ Midland Volvo and in my ownership it has has, all genuine , new clutch, DMF, VVt pulleys/ cambelt, usual brakes, ball joints and drop links as they happen and a new rear calliper. Only issue is it’s love of 0-30w oil, not an unknown issue and one that someone with the time and knowledge could probably fix. Squires have tried some changes but no real difference. Certainly doesn’t dull performance and the car averages 33mpg ( I should add that most journeys are 40 plus miles and I don’t commute in traffic). Beautiful wafts motoring for nothing in comparative terms. Car is dark green, beige leather interior, a few marks on which pre- date my ownership. Luxury mats, working 6 CD player, comm pack, winter pack ( headlamp washer pump bust but will fix that for anyone keen, I don’t think it makes much difference and saves on screenwash!
