Drove back down to Torquay in the V70 last night, headed up my road and a new pothole had appeared - the back wheels crashed down into it bottoming out the car with a lovely grating noise from underneath, checked but no apparent damage externally.
Immediately I got a CHECK BRAKE LIGHT warning and a triangle. Luckily a few yards from our garage so backed her in and used the wall to check the lights.
The high level LED's are working but not the ordinary lamps? I have since checked the lamps and one bulb the filament had shattered and the other lamp is the wrong type (side/tail 5W/21W) but functioning as a brake light.
I put in one of my spare 5W side lights to check the blown one but nothing - DEAD????? The brake pedal switch is obviously working but is there a separate fuse for low level lights please.....HELP
Anyone in TQ or Paignton any ideas please, I have to start shift again 3 in days back at Heathrow. At the moment looking like I 'll have to take Mrs Turbos Mercedes (eeeurgh)
