Looking for a nice one, not a shed............there's a few of those around lol Also, wrong engine. I want a the M62 "TUB" engine, which was late 1999 onwards.
Its funny when you read comments like : "you may as well get the 530, its more economical and almost as fast" A couple of points : First, you don't by a V8 if you want good economy. Second, the 530 isn't actually that much better on fuel anyway. Third, i can only assume that the people that say the 530 is almost as fast, haven't actually driven a 540. The 540 is LOADS quicker. 0-100mph is 14.4 for an auto 540, its nearly 17 in an auto 530. The 540 may only have 50(ish) bhp more, but its also got 100lb/ft more as well.
A 530 or even a 535 is not even remotely in the same league as a 540!

I've been in a fair few e39 530s and a couple of 535s, and the difference is clear. In gear acceleration is especially noticeable, 70 mph in 5th@1800rpm and it still pulled well.
