Took the V70R to our indie on Thursday for a pre M.O.T. check, and the bill for the work that needed doing would have been £2,400 so, we decided rather than throw all that money at a 206,000 mile car to buy something newer. As it's for Rachel's work (she's a nanny) we were looking at 7 seaters, specifically the Ford S Max 2.5T, but couldn't find one we liked, just out of interest I searched 2.5T XC90 with manual box on ebay, and 1 result came back. As it was only south west London, we decided to pop up and have a look. Spoke to the guy before hand, and asked if he'd be interested in our C70 convertible, which he was, so after checking the XC90 over, a deal was done and we drove home in this:
Drives very nicely, and goes well for the size of the car, no plans to do anything to it at the moment, but knowing my wife, she's bound to want it to go faster. lol
