If you reading this you are missing it....... :)
If you reading this you are missing it....... :)
It's on quest +1 at 10. ;)
Watching it now, although the 't5r' engine he's using seems to have turned into a later R engine with vvt etc , suppose it's a natural progression but why pretend it came out of the 850 that they 'bought'.
didn't look like a vvt head, although it's using an me7 intake manifold
Was just thinking that it was not the same engine with the different covers and manifold
deffo a 2.3 block, I found it interesting about the way they torque the head down, a little lesson there :)
He is quite annoying !. Are those muttonchops glued on ?
deffo a 2.3 block, I found it interesting about the way they torque the head down, a little lesson there :)
Yes a much better option than running it for a short period the re torquing Also what gasket was they using
Def a good watch, although I doubt you'd fit that massive turbo in the space on the 850, crying shame. I'd noticed it had gone to coil packs, I don't recall anything about head work. The rebar is like shems closed deck conversion (obviously a cheaper version) food for thought though.
I'm very impressed that they can get over 700bhp with the standard intake, says something about how well it must flow.
Interesting he torqued the head on the last stage whereas the Haynes book of lies gives a degree setting for the last stage.
deffo a 2.3 block, I found it interesting about the way they torque the head down, a little lesson there :)
That's quite common. Had to do that with other makes, one procedure I recall said to ' wait 19 minutes, slacken off and retorque ' seemed very precise, 19 minutes !
Recorded. Will watch when I'm not being depressed by emmerdale/coronation st/eastenders or any other drivel she watches.
Not watch it yet on nites it on rec
Was a good watch, but would of been nice to see that engine back in a the 850 body, not an off-roader. Anything that features a Volvo is worth a watch I suppose!
I quite enjoyed it, but lists of dark arts were skimmed over & the engine used was a distant cousin of an me 4.3 lump by the time it went in that dune buggy. Plus that bloke is irritating as fluck. But lovely to see the one of the original design team & how enthusiastic he was about his gul!
