What's everyone's thoughts on them? I know there's good ones because I've seen plenty on here about how helpful they've been Etc. But Arnold Clark in Aberdeen seem to be pretty shocking, I've felt with them 3 times and each time they seem they couldn't care less! 1st time, I was trying to find out if I could get a diagnostics done there, when they asked what car it was I told them it was an S60 T5, and the reply I got was "is that a Volvo yeah" 2nd time was a few weeks ago, was in having a look about and was asking about an S60 T6 and the likelyhood of being able to source a Volvo selekt used one, and both salesmen were like "that's our used selection over there but there isn't much" 3rd time was about 20 mins ago, changing my power steering pump today so rang the parts department to see about getting the belt tool because I'm struggling to find anywhere that sells a t60 torx bit and was told "nah it's a workshop tool so I can't even order you one" why the hell not! I think it's safe to say, I'm not going to be in a hurry to deal with them again!

Mill garages in Sunderland have been OK with me, everything from sourcing parts to bigger jobs.....no idea how they go on with P2 models & newer, assume they will be OK also. Not the cheapest of course but no complaints In fact I'll be taking the S70 in there shortly to get tyres to get fitted for about 11 quid each, special offer on, no idea whether they meant bring your own tyres but will have a go! I am a bit spoilt for choice in my area as there is also a ex-Volvo guy working who started a garage just along the road from Mill volvo in Southwick, he is also very good. Plus plenty of one man bands who after a few minutes of talking to them you can understand who is bad/who is good/who will rip you off Not much use to you all that but I guess I am trying to say that the quality is variable between garages - maybe giving another Volvo dealer a ring as you need the part? No problem for me to pick it up from Sunderland & send on to you if you have any luck with them

They weren't helpful when she took it back and eventually she had to speak to an area manager to get them to rectify the problem.

Yep we are unlucky up here when it comes to good garages, my local won't even touch my R now because they are scared of it.

Johnson Volvo in redditch are fab, they know me on first name basis and the parts dept go the extra mile to get things quickly, even deliver to my house for free, always being offered test drives and stuff and the receptionist is FAF (very attractive)
