Stats say that only 93 of 900,000 cars have been found to be rung, wasting Tax payers money for all the good intentions it was introduced for. They think it was about £3,000,000 per car detected in outlay for the test.

Yes I've heard it's about too be abolished by my insurance company mate ;), cars are so cheap and plentiful today why would you go to the bother of ringing them anyhow lol. I had my vic marker lifted by my insurer as it's them that mark the veichle not vosa or dvla ;) Also they do the vic at the mot anyway lol because they look at the vin number to see if it matches whats on record lmao
[QUOTE=abdul;782766]Thanks very useful as my saffy was written off but I want to fix it and put it back on the road[/QUOTE] Was the car youres when it got written off Abdul and have you changed adress or names since then, you only need a vic if the v5 changes in anyway or you sold the car but if nothing changed from the time of the car being written off until now you don't need a vic mate ;) because they only ask for one so they can print out a new v5 I've had a car previously vic checked a xr31 cab on q plate all they do at the vic is open the bonnet and look at the numbers they don't strip the car down looking for evidence takes all of about 5 mins. They give you a piece of paper you contact dvla and a v5 is issued
