Recent trip to Bosnia in my T5

Some may or may not know i quite like abit of drive in my Volvo. As well as enjoying travelling about, i have a personal challenge to travel to over 20 countries in my 850 and a bizarre desire to find the limits of its reliability. End of May this year Gemma and I headed for central Europe and the Balkans. After leaving Italy on this trip the temperatures absolutely rocketed, the car was reading 35c for good proportions of the days and at the time we had no air conditioning. Driving through Bosnia we had to rely and a basic map to find our way about and at times very limited signage. Theres not much more than a few KM’s of motorway in Bosnia, its all single carriageway. That's some journey, the old Volvo does well! Nice pictures and thanks for sharing PS - The lady genetic gene pool in Bosnia is decent, you may not have been allowed to look, being with the missus and all.

What you can't see is the bullet damage. Its easy to spot, everywhere you go you can see damage and not just one or two holes in the odd building, we're talking bullets sprayed right across some buildings with an automatic type weapon. Quite saddening to see actually. We stayed in a 5 star hotel in Mostar and looking out the window you could see what certainly would be considered in the UK as borderline poverty. The reliability of this car still astounds me, its used everyday here and we've been all over Europe in it, we have in the past ran it for 20hours almost constantly, cruised for hours at 100mph and driven on some pretty demanding roads in some fairly remote places.. All in a car 21 years old. Re Bosnian women, I couldn't agree with you anymore! I can look within reason is kind of the agreement lol.
