The Pod is enjoying its summer break in Cornwall, and to be frank it is a bit warm for a Northern species, if you smell cooked whale meat , it will be me, jeez I wish I had brought the C70 ,or fixed the bleedin aircon in the V70, opening the window always does the trick in Glasgow.
Happy daze.

Bloody hell, bit of a journey to Cornwall from Glasgow, it's bad enough going from the midlands. I'm suffering at the moment as the gas has gone from the V70 aircon :( I feel your pain dude.
Have a fab holiday!

Porthleven. Near Helston, very beautiful harbour, the people are friendly and the pasties are tasty, the local lager Korev, is great too.
And it's sunny, yaaay.

Yep know the place. If you get into Helston try the Blue Anchor pub.

Will do Dawg. There are lots of nice Volvos lurking about down here too.

Spent a day at Leven last year when we stopped ar Penzance for a long weekend. Spent a while just sitting on the bench at the top of the harbour on the grassy bit looking out to sea and relaxing as well as sitting by the canon.
Wish I was there now to be honest.
Enjoy yourselves.

Just about to sink my teeth into a huge steak at The Atlantic Inn on the top road , the steak will never live up to the view . Absolutely panoramic. Is there a Bad view anywhere in Cornwall?

The only one I can think of is:-
Welcome to Devon
Hope you don't see it too soon...

Beautiful part of the world, Cornwall :)
Good drive in too, on a good day.
The A30 is like the road that traffic law forgot at night.
I didn't max the S80 T6 down there.
It was closed for private use, obviously.
When it didn't happen ;)

Those downhill and uphill stretches of the A30 where you can see for miles at very addictive
If you like that sort of thing . Which of course I don't.

Oddly enough, I've just sent a wireless router down to Porthleven, in fact the house is in the second picture above on the other side of the harbour!
Looks like you're having some fab weather!

Weather is great, we spent the day at The lost gardens near St Austell, which is well worth the visit. Cornwall is so beautiful, and the roads are a riot.

Love Cornwall (and it's practically on my doorstep :D)
Porthcurno is a fave of mine. Cracking beach and the Minack Theatre is pretty good for a look round.
Pic from mid winter.

I do love Cornwall.
Sennen Cove is a personal favourite of mine. Much further and you're at Land's End.
Drink and a bite to eat at the beach cafe. Lovely :)

A couple of years ago we clambered down to the next beach along from the one at Minack theatre/ Porthcurno, only to discover it was a nudist beach... Ah well , when in Rome, as they say.
Talk about 57 varieties!
Needless to say the sprog is not keen to return there this year, something about the climb down being a bit difficult.

Cracking photos Orca, glad you caught the weather down there. If you've never checked out the waterfall and climbed down it at St Nectans Glen, then do it next time. A30 is my favourite road. I'm like Steve, I've never maxed out my cars down there at night either, as if I would :-))

Quite right Laney I wouldn't dream of driving those long sweeping sections of the A 30 flat out. Tsk tsk .
