Hello folks, I'm still trying to source a couple of top condition beige leather (pref heated) front seats for my 96 850... I thought I'd give 247 spares a try, but then wondered if the good people of the forum had experiences with any of these online breakers search sites? I have tried before but no previous joy, nobody ever got back to me. Thanks in advance.

Dealt with a guy in North Wales called 850vsc70volvo on the bay when I bought an alternator for my C70. Sent the wrong one and different to the picture, but rectified the matter very quickly.

Tried one of these a while back and got no replies and another service wanted paying for the service with no guarantee of finding what I wanted, so I gave up and just kept an eye out, took a while but what I needed came along eventually

If you mean sites like BreakerLink and 1stChoice, I've found them ultimately useless. I got replies from breakers who don't read your requirements properly so offer you the wrong thing, or dealers that offer you the correct part but brand new and therefore very expensive.

Thanks chaps, this is my second effort at using them and no responses either time, I guess keep scouring Ebay for breaking cars or the parts, or calling local breakers, will be the more productive method...

I used breakeryard.com to source a gearbox for my AWD, some company near London got back to me with a fair price for one. Recently I tried them for a sump pan and I had one reply but they wanted stupid money. There aren't many breakers round by me and the ones that are close rarely have a volvo in.
