As i'm looking for a short term car to have while i'm looking for another 540i, and i'm not having much look with my preferred choices i've expanded my search a bit and came across a decent looking lexus is300. But i also know someone who may be selling their merc c320 saloon.
Looking at around 2002 MY for the lexus and i think the merc is a 53 plate. Don't really know much about them other than they both produce around 220bhp. Now i've driven the same models in the past and wasn't impressed with their performance, but that was when i was used to more power than i am now.
So what do people reckon to them?

quite like the old is200's, always thought they looked nice, but know nothing about them..

I know what you mean, but apparently all the arches are fine............what its like underneath though, i have no idea.

Just felt a nicer place to be to be honest. Handling a bit better as well, but this was over 10 years ago when I drove both.
