Just heard from the bairn that Terry Pratchett died yesterday. I was very sorry to hear that.
A moments silence where I am...much of what I find funny came from reading his books as a kid (plus Douglas Adams & Red Dwarf books). I met him one time at a book signing.
Best lines, ever:

He went anyway. He ran down to his Bentley and drove toward the West End as if all the demons of hell were after him. Which was more or less the case.[/I]

I meant to PM you yesterday when I heard, but didn't get 5 minutes.
Sad news, he'd suffered with alzheimer's for years apparently. :(
Although, I think it's because you've moved Pollution out of your life for good!

A man after my own heart, I love Douglas Adams and I've got more than a few of Mr Prat chets books as well. Another sad loss.

I was just talking the bairn tonight, he's reading Carpet People (Pratchett's very first book)...said did you know....
For anyone wondering wtf I'm on about...Pollution is the name of my 480 turbo, which I've just donated to the 480 club europe forum, named after a character in Good Omens book

MRP likes a bit of Douglas Adams also, not sure if he was into Pratchett stuff

Been to Douglas Adams grave (high gate cemetery) and don't mind his books and he used to write dr who scripts and I quite like dr who 1963 to present
