Nearly. I've got a 460, will that do? Actually, the last auto CD Turbo left on the road in Blighty no less. I'll stick some pics up when I'm near a PC, Photobucket doesn't work properly on the phone :(

Took a while, but my Missus has just done a baby! I've not really got all that many of the 460, but here goes: Warming up with the S70 of a cold assed morning: Image Image
Like that mark 1 440 grill....Robou ECU going well I see
Yup! Every now and again, by feeding the throttle in so it doesn't kick down, I can get the needle all the way to the end of the red. (scientific, I know!) Pretty sure the gearbox will go bang in spectacular fashion soon, either that or a piston will make an appearance through the block. Still can't stop myself thinking about that T25 you've got kicking around though. Hmm.... ;)

Yea, happy memories of my 440 Turbo, bought it at five years old and it was nineteen (2009) when I gave up on it. Had a bit of rot in the sills around the back end which I had had two separate sessions of welding in new plate but that was not what stopped it. Layshaft bearing in the gearbox went and finding a correct replacement seemed impossible, plenty of ordinary ones but not with the correct gearing for the Turbo model. Could not justify the time and cost of rebuilding the box and when I looked sensibly at the way the rust was spreading it was time to call it a day. Here are a couple of pictures, it was a good car and still went well, was sorry to part with it.

Hmm... OP doesn't feel like sharing then? I might just start a project thread for mine one of these days. All sorts of plans are buzzing around my head at the min. Standard T5 power is in my sights. Will prob go bang, but what the hell! ;) If it works, then 210-220 bhp in a 1100kg car should be quite a good craic :D

There's 2. Well, 1 and a half. Geoff's is clearly embarrassed to be seen with Vin Diesel's back up car.

yep thats about right, i had that on the road then found a 309gti so did the work to get that on the road and then gave away the 440 to a buddy for scrap which would of been 2002 :(

Post 775910 by Doingitsideways on 2015-06-14 20:53:48

Oh, FFS! Sorry to hear that, Fella :( Suppose it's still got to be better than no work at all though, presuming you get renewed that is.
