Just sat here reflecting and come to the conclusion that I'm actually feeling good with my car at the moment. Bought the T5 in August 2013, 132000 miles, didn't cost a lot but needed some jobs doing. Now on 136000 and it's actually been reliable for the last couple of months, before that I was always listening and hearing work required. Have done over about 12 months timing and auxilliary belts, polybushed front wishbones and subframe inserts, inner track rod ends, drop links, cat back stainless exhaust, four Avon ZV5, 3 x 3.5 litre auto fluid drops, replaced throtle body, replaced headlamp wiper motors and one door mirror for working s/h ones and normal service oil change etc. Recon I've spent more than I paid for it but I think it is worth it - can't beat the comfort on long journeys and it is fast enough when I feel like it. It's a 'weekend' car as I have a V40 I use to get to work so it sits in the garage most of the time but being able to get it out without worrying that something is not right is a good place to be at. Just felt like posting something positive for the new year!!
