21mm
Are you sure :) I`ve tried a 19mm which just starts on the nuts but wont stay on when trying to undo them But 20mm is to big I was wondering if they are imperial.

What you're asking for then is the thread size and pitch. I think this gives you the info you need: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/20-1-2-UNF-Half-Inch-Black-Alloy-Steel-Wheel-Lug-Nuts-60-Degree-Tapered-Bolts-/161419616300?pt=UK_Cars_Parts_Vehicles_Wheels_tyres_Trim_Nuts_ET&fits=Car+Make%3AVolvo%7CModel%3A240&hash=item25955be02c
What you're asking for then is the thread size and pitch.
I`m asking what size socket fits the wheel nuts on a 1983 244 GL

19mm, you've got a socket set, try going through them until you find one that fits. :P
19mm, you've got a socket set, try going through them until you find one that fits. :P
That would be the easiest but if for some reason they are imperial the metric sockets just wont grab right our 88 240 uses 21mm nuts

I`ve tried a 19mm and it does fit. Just seen your ebay link, as they are UNF that makes them a 3/4 AF socket.

After a quick internet search it seems some nuts are metric and others are imperial and with your being a early one it may possibly be imperial you have

I`ll try a 3/4 socket tomorrow. Thanks
