Which Oil?

Hello everyone, I am hoping someone could advise me on which is the best oil to use for my car. I have a 1999 S70, 140000 miles on the clock. 2.5 10v Petrol. The previous owner according to the receipts used 0w-30 Castrol edge fully synthetic oil. Any advice would be great. Thanks in advance

If that's what's always been used, it'll be best to stick with that. However, if you're not thrashing it about and prefer a quieter engine, get it flushed and fill it with good 10W/40 semi-synth oil. Much cheaper too.

I only do about 8k of local driving a year. So il just go with the Castrol 10W/40 semi. Many thanks for the replies.
