P1 headlights & dipstick.

Replaced my indicators today as mine were stone chipped to death... Now my headlights look rather "used". Anyone know if I can buy new glass lenses as the headlights themselves aren't bad really ie no corrosion.
Also whilst checking my fluids I've noticed the usual Mayo forming in my dipstick tube. It's due an oil change the next 1000 miles so I'm planning on taking it off & giving it a spruce.
Pretty sure I read something about a uprated dipstick? Mine has the seal present & correct but seeing as it's used mostly for short journeys I'd ideally like to sort this issue.
Overall I'm still happy as a pig in poo with it & have lots of ideas for the next few years to keep my modding urge fed.
Thanks.
Dave

You can get lenses from PartsForVolvo's Biff, fairly straight forward to fit too.

I wouldnt worry about the mayo, short trips will be causing that, Oil change is a good idea :)

Oh right cheers Craig, I've seen the plastic ones off the face lift but not the glass, I'll have a look once I've sat down.
Cheers Gav, think I'll get it sorted this week. I put 10w40 in the bullion but I am weary after it lunching itself. What grade would you suggest mate?

I got some used ones from my local Volvo specialist, used but good condition @ £10.00 each, and I managed to fit them, so it must be a simple job.

I'd whack em on here or the bay unless you have use for them. I've found that they sell very quickly.

I'm only after the lenses but if they're any good ie no pitting etc I'll have them Craig. Price dependant of course. Lol
Mark apologies for not replying about the projectors, I thought I had but obviously hadn't. I decided the black wasn't the direction I wanted.
I've managed to bag some chrome tape incase the reflector strip at the base of the headlight is past it.
I've also got an egg crate off an xc70 on its way so when it arrives I'll update my project thread with updated pictures. Pleased to say I have a towing eye cover now too. :)

No worries Biff. I don't have any lights to replace the projectors with anyway. They do look good on a black car imo.

They do! I was going to suggest a swap but my indicators were a mess & the headlights aren't much better.
Glad you've kept the c70, are you attending the cosford meet??

I'm trying to find reasons to drive the C70, and have been out in her today for just 15 miles or so. She rides the best now in the time that I've had her, without the BC's on the rear, but sits at stock height at the rear. Not planning on any meets tbh, although I wouldn't mind taking the C70 on a RR day just to see what see puts out as standard.

They're the ABM's off PFV. Mine were swapped from my p1 V70 to my C70, so they definitely fit.

I'd say I'd arrange one in my local rr but I can't be hooped with the grief of the clash of cliques. If you ever pop to wrexham I can arrange a dyno run for you or fancy a blast on the Welsh roads give me a nod mate, be great to meet you & see your remaining volvo. Lol

Thanks Biff. We've almost met a few times now, but still haven't. The roads over there are great, so a blast out could be a great idea.

Just give me a nod mate, I'm a bit tied up at the minute with babies etc but give me notice & should be able to work around it. ;)

When I changed my dipstick recently I had to purchase a new 'tube' for it so sit in as it was longer as Rob says.

The bit about it being longer was a joke.
At the moment I`m using a ME7 tube with a 850 dipstick.

Well they have recently changed the design, I needed a new tube for the new dipstick.
