If you don't have a machine, buy a proper hand polishing pad if you want to make it easier on yourself.

Post 728269 by merc85 on 2014-08-06 21:57:07
As volvokid says get a electric polisher will defo make it alot easier and also wet the G3 on the cloth before you start and keep it most/damp. goes further to :)

That's why I don't use the stuff plus its messy, but it WILL restore the colour and if that's all your after it's perfect.

i use the course farcella number 3 then go over again with the finer farcella 2 , it is very hard work though, i sometimes wonder if a bottle of CIF would be easier as its runnier :D
Post 728284 by moosepowerlee on 2014-08-06 23:14:41
After the g3 i used to use auto glym ultra deep shine and the auto glym high def wax to stop it fading as quick after i got my old car red again

Good work there mate.
Get some sealant on it quick tho, before it gets ingrained with crap. In that exposed condition, even bird crap will do some serious harm.

I think he means the old G3 in the yellow bottle? That's far too abrasive for what you're doing, G3 is a complete range these days.
I'd use something like Megs Ultimate Compound followed by a good wax.
