We booked a holiday to Turkey for the 18th, this will be our first holiday and tbh Adrienne deserves it just a tad. I've had to go offshore the job kept on slipping and now we are down for weather :( I'm really hoping I can get this done and get off before hand but it's going to be cutting it fine if I do.

That's true James, she rescheduled her next operation from the beginning of August to September so that we could go, she has been really looking forward to it. I can almost take it or leave it but I know she needs it.

So it's looking evermore likely I'm not going to be home in time. Adrienne had to drive to Glasgow yesterday to get a new passport, she didn't realize it was still in her old name so that adds to the disappointment. She called Thompson today and asked if she could slip the holiday a week and pay the difference, they won't do it they said you either go or you loose your money.
She cancelled her operation that was due this month so we could go on this, that's booked now for next month.
The reason we booked it for those dates because her parents are off and offered to take Jack for a week.
I know it sounds horrible and most probably will frown but having this holiday with Jack would have been pointless, this holiday was simply so Adrienne could relax. Having the rascal there would have defeated the purpose. People probably think that's the joys of having a kid but people havnt been through what she still has.
Oh and now I have a unhappy wife, great stuff lol.
Sorry for still going on about Adriennes recovery but it's still a big part of my life.
I actually hate work just now, but I choose this courier, maybe I should break something and get choppered off haha

I actually wouldnt be able to sit still that whole journey home! i love goin on holiday, its exciting when you wake up at stupid o clock to start getting ready for taxi's etc (not so exciting when the bride decides hoovering at that time of the morning because she wants to come home to a clean house though)
Glad your going to make it, enjoy it! Dont know the back story but it sounds like you both deserve it!
Normally id be pushing an international cheap 200 lambert smuggle operation but i stopped smoking last week......7 days and not one! :)

WOW! Someone was definately looking out for all of yous that day!! The Volvo held up well hitting something the size of a picasso! Theyre a fair old size of bus when you get round the nooks and crannys of them!
So glad yous all walked away (probs not the best choice of words) but it mkes you realise how easy life can be changed, all in a matter of seconds!
Thats the V40 i used to see regularly parked up near my old work too!
I know what you mean though, at the scene of an accident you seem to not notice pain, the shear amount of chaos around you etc.
I backflipped a Renault 19 16V back when i was 17, which then turned into a number of barrel rolls after bouncing roof first off an embankment which then transformed into end over end summersaults before coming to a rest on its roof in a field. At the time i crawled out between the back seat and the roof through the back window, to then realise my phone was in there, so crawled back in, found the phone and battery but couldnt find the back for the phone, wich i didnt need but in my head i was adament i did!
Wasnt untill the swelling started kicking in that i couldnt walk, couldnt feel my legs, just absolutely felt dead from the waist down. Turns out id actually fractured 2 vertebrae in my lower back!

Therefore she isn't too bad after all either is she?
I think a bunch of flowers would be good idea when we get back from Canada/States!!
