Hi everyone, My V50 (2009), and I can only presume the S40 is the same, has 2 captive nuts in the boot for the number plate. So naturally, I would expect the nylon yellow/black/white or blue numberplate fixings would fit. . . No, not a chance! Does anyong know what size the are, and if you can infact get different size nylon fixings? Thanks dingbat29
My 2006 S40 had the number plates riveted on. Have you tried the main dealers?
Yep - I riveted a few plates recently. Permanent and really hard to remove :D
I bought these and just used the bolts as the thread matches that of the captive nuts: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/60-Pcs-MIXED-NUMBER-PLATE-BOLTS-NUTS-CAPS-SCREWS-FITTING-FIX-/200941577657?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item2ec90d25b9 I did cut them short as if you don't they have a tendency to stick part way in, twist and snap. I also sprayed them with WD40 before screwing them in.
