Looking at a 2001 S40 T4 MOT failure, the handbrake's goosed just wondering if it has the same set up as the larger Volvos i.e. shoes inside the disc, or if it's all done on the rear caliper.

...you know what... I've completely forgotten!!! I've only recently done the brakes on the S40...I'll reply when I get back home and check for sure. However I think "yes they do", but I don't trust that statement fully..

The handbrake is on the rear callipers, quite common to seize up.
