Just received the latest edition of 'Driver' magazine and this years BKV's will take place on the following dates :
Southern Area : Sunday May 18th from 1000 (£6 per person entrance to the site)
Atwell Wilson Motor Museum Downside,
Stockley Lane,
Calne,
Wiltshire,
SN11 0NF
National : Sunday 29th June
Hatton Country World,
Dark Lane,
Hatton,
Warwickshire,
CV35 8XA
I know these events are not to everyone's taste but hopefully VPC can put up a good show of vehicles like we did last year.

An excellent day, sun was out and it was hot cleaning the cars but worth it in the end, a well deserved win for Steve with his S60R and I secured a runners up spot in the V70 class (one step up from last year).
Was great to meet Martin and Emma, I'm sure you'll have that 850 sorted in no time (once the weddings out of the way)
Thanks also to Steve (stribo) for popping along to have a look round and support us.
I have plenty of pic's to post hopefully get some done tonight if not I'll crack on with them in the morning.

Had a great day with great weather and a great result. Well done to Dave (Doorman) for his class win and to Graham for his Class Runner Up. Been trying out my new dashcam and once I've fine tuned the settings I shall do a mini review. Great day with great friends. :)

If I hadn't neither Dave or myself would have got anything !
Basically I think they intended to included the 850's and V70's together but mistakenly dished out the trophies to the 850's and it wasn't till we pointed it out that they realised their mistake.

Neither of the 850s got points high enough to beat either you or Dave so your 2nd and Daves 1st are legitimate results.

Maybe.....but thinking about it, I've gone from 'Highly Commended' to 'Runner up' so it looks like my plastics DID improve the car.

So all years V70's are in one class that a bit strange as the S60 has it's own.
Would have thought they were done phase 1 phase 2 and phase 3 cars separately.

That's right, and normally the 850's are included as well !
I did have a chat with Nigel and a couple of other directors of VOC yesterday and they acknowledge a rethink of the classes is needed.

Well I woke up this morning to find it was pouring down outside, luckily for me Anne opened up her works warehouse so I could give the old girl a going over (the car not Anne) pictures are terrible but the car is looking good and is safely locked up tonight away from the weather.....roll on tomorrow.

Nice pics graham. We are not overly fussed about losing out to a car that has done 40k and only comes out to visits shows, the red brick does 15k a year!we are both happy with out it stands for now, however watch this space, I like your quote graham about relentless pursuit of perfection!!!never ending eh!!!
