After a little bit of wisdom I am on the lookout for another C70 T5 GT but want an ME7 engine I seem to remember that they were introduced in 1999 but does anybody have a definitive answer to the question above I thank you

And mine is a June 98 'R reg' and isn't ME7 so it definitely seems right...

No, it's not such an involving drive as the C70, even the R in comfort mode feels quite isolated from the road, though it's a lot better in sports mode.
