Cars like that are the reason you lot have to put up with me here. I always wanted something interesting/retro but with prices things like that fetch now no way it was going to happen.
So thats were the volvo comes in.....very unasuming,rwd and cheap performance.

Its a replica, been a long build for the guy now finally finished and competed in mull rally last year. Got more pics of the original shell getting shortened somewhere

Had another quick phone clear out this morning and have a few more pics i'd be aswell throw up here
After selling this to a rather suspect individual (for some funny smelling 50quid notes) i managed to get it back once he got bored for the pricely sum of 400quid complete with MOT and some new bits.
Quite excited about finally owning and keeping a "dream car" (poster on the bedroom wall). Plan is to get it into rally HQ and begin a full strip down ready for a TWR inspired rebuild
Some pics from last years visit to WRC catalunya, you'll notice very little WRC content and majority Group B historics. What can i say, modern rally cars altho impressive they just don't create the same excitement for me

Finally this, possibly my favourite car of 2016 (early days i know but its gonna be a hard one to beat)
S2000 shell removed, innerwings and quarters narrowed and mk1 escort shell grafted over the top. One off hand formed arches to allow the standard honda running gear to fit. Basically a modern daily driveable mk1, 250hp, 6sp, LSD, modern electrics, suspension brakes etc!
Got some metal work to do to get all the small pieces to work in, Wipers, bonnet hinges etc! crazy the Mk1 wheelbase is 2400mm, S2000 wheelbase 2400.3mm. More pictures to follow

a friends 2.0 redtop avenger, was a 5dr pinto engined glittery purple disaster. now much much cooler and faster
time attack mk1 focus , currently at 500ish bhp and on an extreme diet. nova gsi, swapped for a 120-130bhp screaming 1.3 sport engine
the P1 you see in the background was a track car build, first time out the gearbox gave up tryin to cope with 550hp and slicks.
