Hi guys
something i dabble with from time to time is Photography & a bit of RC.
i was thinking of bringing the 2 together & getting a quadcopter..
anybody into these or have any experience?
from a bit of research the one stop easy way of getting into it would be a DJI Phantom2 vision for around £850
it just looks kinda toy like tho & i get the impression you pay a premium for the ready made convenience..
i have no problem building a kit but from the few kits i've seen the costs escalate very quickly by the time you do get it airborne!
maybe the Phantom vision is the place to start....

Buy a decent turbo for that - you're asking the wrong crowd LOL - that kinda spare cash goes into the car.
Still nice idea - if you can build one for a lot less?

I did see a couple of Pedro YouTube videos of something with his Gopro cameras.

if you've flown helicopter before then you'll have no issues with a quadcopter, very easy to fly. I bought a cheap £80 quad to practise on before i save for a Phantom

looking at the price you've quoted i'm guessing your going for the Phantom 2 vision, DON'T. Your better off going for the cheaper Phantom 2 with Zenmuse gimbal (which is £620 complete) & using a GoPro camera (upto £360). The vision with pre-built camera only runs at 1080 & has no camera stabilisation so quite poor video footage

even with a pre-built you can spend plenty more on accessories, it just depends how far you want to go with it
