Just a suggestion I recommend you use this this snowfoam mixed with this CG stuff. Lingers longer and you get even better prewash penetration.
I mix mine 8 squirts of snowfoam to 2 squirts Suds, topped up with water. But with a variable strength mixer - I am sure you'll find your own optimum.

Next thing to get is a water purifier/deionising system & a TDS meter.

My problem is I don't have access to a hose or a pressure washer so I end up putting sponge to dirty paint every time. This results in fine swirl marks which I constantly have to buff out - very frustrating and time consuming.
Being a fully trained vehicle valeter having worked for some main dealer franchises a few years ago, I'm fully aware of the need to clean the paint down first with a hose and preferably a pressure hose but I don't have that luxury at the moment. When I move hose, my new landlords are having a tap installed so I'll be investing in a Karcher. :D

Thanks For the suggestions Dave. This R1ne is getting excellent reviews. Just 10ml is enough to wash a car. It doesn't need to foam up much as a snow foam to get great results and it's uses are endless. The guy who created it is a professional detailer and decided to start doing his own in house range of products.

Lots of suds doesn't mean it does a better job. Ever used Autoglym shampoo? Using a higher concentrate would give me more suds but honestly it's not needed with this product.

James, You don't need a pressure washer to use Snowfoam. I started out life with one of these...

I'd still personally have it thicker and have it cling on the car longer than just run off like piss lol ;)

i wont use a sponge. not even on my wheels. to easy for the dirt to get traped. i use two wash mits. one for the top one for the bottom third.

I think you're all rubbish and polishing an already clean car is cheating.... To prove you can detail You should try and clean a really dirty car like mine (vain hope that someone will come clean my car... Lol)...

Happy birthday ,Mike
Can I just add one thing,if you are going to store it in the garage make sure you drain the water out of the machine & lance, just in case it freezes up in the cold weather. As that is what killed my last pressure washer.

I went a bit mad and ordered up over £120 worth of products just before Xmas lol. Used his metal cleaner last night on the exhaust tips and they came up a treat with very little effort.

i know that feeling. i spent that one waxes alone for mine. ive barley used them either. i love cleaning my car but i alway end up disapointed cause i notice a new stone chip or a scratch thats to deep to polish out.

This is why I think Russ at Reflectology is onto a winner with his products. They are fantastic value for money. I put a misting of his defiance sealant over the car today then buffed it off. Really nice deep shine and hardly used any of the bottle and its only £12.95. Lockdown on next so cant wait to see the results and again only £12.95 a bottle.
One reason i swore id never have another black car, stonechips!!! atleast with silver its hard to see them lol.

I use it for mainly only washing the car now ( two capfuls for a bucket) after I've snow foamed the car with Meguiars hyper wash. Only reason being is the R1ne is a small bottle and I use it for loads of things now and it would run out pretty quick if I kept using 50ml to foam the car. The wife has used it too get marks out of the carpet lol.

To be honest, if the car is really dirty, I've found you still need to wash the car after using the foam, it's gets loads off, but not everything.

Its all about minimal contact at the end of the day - and the fact that the surfactants in snow foam are better at gently softening any grime so that it easily washes off. Better than just a rinse with water. Snow foam is just a pre-wash - at least in my head.

thats how i understand it to but if i can find a mix that removes more dirt in than current soloution then its happy days for my paint work. most the dirt rolls off anyway as i like to keep it waxed
