I have volvo 850 t5r wat do ya recommed i do get more power its been chipped air filter exhaust ect but the engines done 250.000 is it worth it (sorry 4 the spelling :o)

I dunno, but if you got a mini hayabusa the T5 will never touch it! lol
I would look at shedding weight on the Volvo. A mate lost half a ton by chucking loads of stuff out. Engine wise it's standard T5r but flies the quarter at well under 14secs.

Please elaborate on this mystical half ton, and why has nobody ever heard of this fantastic T-5R?

Think his forum name is Flamencokid and he on Volvoforums. I seen his car and it is ripped bare inc perpex for glass and door/bonnet/boot frames, seats, dash, that bi lump behind dash etc etc.
Dunno if it half a ton, I may be wrong, but it very light for a Volvo.
Oh, he taken bumper bars off etc too. Basically everything poss whilst keepin road legal.

My almost standard 855 stripped did a 14.2 quarter.. Little ECU and I actually believe it would have been in the 13's.
I say almost standard. It had Flywheel, massive air box with HKS Skyline filter, 3" throttle body and 70mm pipework(not RIP).
Weight loss included polycarbonate side window, no interior, nothing that wasn't needed including 2-3kg of wiring.

To get that sort of bhp you will need to fit forged rods, bigger turbo, bigger injectors,3" down pipe ,performance exhaust and a custom map
Also deep pockets as it wont be cheap.

He was at Trax this year Col, came over and chatted to a few of us, his car was on Modified something or others stand. ( sorry forgot the club name)

I think you gonna struggle getting much above 320bhp (prob where u at with those mods) without caning the cack out ya engine mate.
As said bigger turbo will give you fun till engine blows, then you gonna be looking at re-build using v.expensive components.
You got the Mini for max-mental and I bet the Volvo already shifts enough to woop most motors. Bear in mind u trying to get Ferarri BHP outta stock engine half the size.
Depends how brave and rich you are! lol
