I have the standard v40 head unit in the car. Is it possible to get something 'Volvo issued' better that can play CDs without jumping all over the place when driving, and perhaps something with Bluetooth and/or USB connection?
Failing this ill just go after market and look into a box to fit under the head unit.

I just got this for mine and plugged it into rear lighter with 8gig stick in. Tune it to radio pre-set.
Honestly thought it would be cack, despite feeling a tad cheap it works a treat.

As tempting as that sounds, it takes up my charging point for the iPhone haha! Thanks for your suggestion though

Do they not do a 'grom' for your HU?

Even if I got one of them mate, I'd still have the issue regarding the CDs jumping due to uneven roads.

I just went for an aftermarket one with hands free etc.

It must be a cd player issue. I would have to hit my dash in order for it to jump.

I did wonder, because aren't these units meant to withstand bumps?

I know when my dad bought his 850 he had to change the alpine cd changer in the boot because it would jump. The V40 stereo was bullet proof in mine. Call volvo and get a price for an exchange.

Didn't realise they do exchanges, so what's this 'grom' unit all about?

Yeah some are more expensive than others. The P2R cost a fortune. I exchanged one in the saffy because it wouldn't play copys. Turns out that hu doesnt play copys doh...

Still chargeable of unit. For 4 quid I bought it expecting a bin-shot after opening, but it pretty good with no noticeable sound loss.
Best 4 quid I spent for a while anyways. :pimp2:
