The juicy bits are 345bhp, 20 inch alloys and 371mm front discs !!! We think they look great. I predict a pricetag of £45-50k linky Image

No bloody manual tho :( The V60 is a thing of beauty tho, even if it doesn't have a spare wheel well.

Post 666239 by partsforvolvos.com on 2013-12-05 14:59:04

dont be silly, there would never be a manual. it is very much in m3 territory for the type of annual earnings that might allow you to buy one. neal is you order already in ? :B_thumb:

the more photos i see the more i want one, unfortunately unless my numbers come up it'll be 2nd or 3rd hand for me! around the time they either become a great used purchase or an expensive used purchase!

I think we have been shown a Steak and feed a burger by Volvo here! When they bought out the concept S60 car with a price tag of £200K no less (not sure how they got to that price?) The Concept car had 3 way Ohlins, A wider track and a few other trick bit of suspension hear and there, the wheels where 19" giving the car a better stance (IMO) and they where 265 wide as opposed to 20 x 235, the rods where stronger and the head flowed and valves played with, Biggest thing for me was that, That model with 508 Bhp had a manual M66c Box! I would like to see how Polestar came up with the price tag when Volvo had given them an Working S60? Yes they had to fit Ohlins suspension and other trick bits but how much did that cost? Was there much cutting to make the suspension fit and was there any cutting need of the arches for that size of wheels? The Haldex 4wd system was already in that model as was a manual box! But all that aside it's not what they showed us all! I smell a rat! Lots of members cars on here are have more power! Sell a S60R at RS4 Money or AMG money or M3 and yes I would buy one but £200K But a severely watered down version for the money they are going to be asking? On yer bike Volvo!

Right that's it the piggy bank going to get broken when they get a year or two old,by that time 20k..

Post 666274 by partsforvolvos.com on 2013-12-05 17:15:19

what i want to see is the next t6 engine which interests me alot. 2.0 5 cyl petrol, supercharged and turbo charged, and a electric motor + 100 bhp on the rear axle somehow. the next range of diesels will have an ecu on each injector. volvo reackon this is as big a step forward as going from old school diesel pump to common rail again.

now I had to cancel my order. Volvo uk finally put this news on their own site but with the little snippet they decided to only bring the estate V60 in to the uk as they think there is more demand for it.

Post 730956 by don kalmar union on 2014-08-22 08:15:47

At the greedy price set by VPCUK most in their right minds should jog on indeed. At £20,000 in a couple of years they may find some interest..... Don.

They have one in the showroom at Warrington. Had a sit in it today, no drive though. Sporty but understated just like the V70 R was. That is until you look at the wheels and brakes. Some serious stopping power. Definitely want one of these.

Post 738210 by Ettienne on 2014-09-30 06:59:35

I'm going to pop down to my local dealer tomorrow and check it out. You got any pics? This one is black apparently.

Post 738224 by Squirtydog on 2014-09-30 09:43:45

Didn't get a pic. Was keeping a 3 year old entertained. Post a pic of the brakes if you can. Proper meaty.

Post 738232 by Ettienne on 2014-09-30 11:38:37

You mean like this? Lazy whatnames at the dealership, I had to go and hunt it out! Only downer not much point in buying one, normal t6 0-60 5.3 (plenty write ups giving those figures) 13.2 1/4 Polestar 0-60 4.7 only 100 times til it's locked out as it can harm gearbox, yes it has good suspension and brakes, but may as well pimp a t6, plus you can then have an s60.
Didn't get a pic. Was keeping a 3 year old entertained. Post a pic of the brakes if you can. Proper meaty.
My daughter, when I told her we could swing by the Volvo garage on the way to school and see the Polestar.

Post 738298 by Ettienne on 2014-09-30 15:55:41
Doesn`t look like anything special. Would look alot better in blue :)
Yes ,Blue would look better.

Post 738380 by Ettienne on 2014-09-30 20:56:28

Black looks sexual on the polestar site, but I do like blue, but how common would it be? I bet most will be blue.

Post 738408 by Squirtydog on 2014-09-30 22:47:25

The one at warrington is in blue. Does suit it very well. I would agree that it doesn't immediately look anything special. But neither does the V70R. That is until you know what you are looking at.
