Good, reputable, known system. A tad pricey though.
......not sure it's compatible with your steering wheel !
On sale at the moment, £499 for stage 1 and the unit doubles as a code reader
There are maps for £300 or less and the torque app for android phones is less than £4 and does the same job as a code reader ;)
I was told the diagnostics for it was an extra £50 Dreamr maps are 275
ive got the rica one. choose wisley when getting it remaped. hlm do one for 300 ive had that it made great power and was nice and progressive but had a terrible flat spot that i couldnt live with and annoyed me the whole time i had it. im now back with rica stg 2. nice and smooth and good power to.

If you want to try a Rica map - have a go in Graham's car. If you want to try the HLM map, have a go in mine. We're all running pretty much the same engine (few supporting mods here and there). Personally, I wouldn't entertain the idea of half a grand for a remap.

I've heard about a flat spot on the ME9 map over on T5D5. Pleased to report no such thing on mine :)

ME7 came in with the P1 V70/C70/S70(?) then when the P2 came out it went to ME7.1, 2005 (iI think) saw ME9.
manifold and heads are different i know that. rods are forged to and turbo is different and throttle body are 3" as standard. that what i know of with out looking into it. no point in looking to see whats different though as all the bits that are different are on mine anyway. i need to drive a earlier t5 some time to see how they drive
Off the bat £500 sounds a lot but if you take into account the cost of say, travelling up to Bromsgrove to HLM for example, petrol, food etc it doesn't seem quite so bad. I can see some advantage of a 400 mile round trip, you get to play on the way home :)

That cost me about £100-£110 in fuel, managing around 32mpg (I wasn't hanging about) Going direct, you'd be looking at 330 miles and £65 in fuel if you take it easy.
Plus you had to feed me lol
I would imagine feeding you would be a lot cheaper than feeding Martin though :D

All the P2's are ME7.01 mate.
Cool... so I wasn't talking total balls then :D
I thought mine is an ME9,looks like it is ME7 then.
Cool... so I wasn't talking total balls then :D
The P1's were ME7.0, P2's ME7.01, ME7.1/7.5 seems to be mostly VAG.
