Good, reputable, known system. A tad pricey though.

If you want to try a Rica map - have a go in Graham's car. If you want to try the HLM map, have a go in mine. We're all running pretty much the same engine (few supporting mods here and there). Personally, I wouldn't entertain the idea of half a grand for a remap.

I've heard about a flat spot on the ME9 map over on T5D5. Pleased to report no such thing on mine :)

ME7 came in with the P1 V70/C70/S70(?) then when the P2 came out it went to ME7.1, 2005 (iI think) saw ME9.

manifold and heads are different i know that. rods are forged to and turbo is different and throttle body are 3" as standard. that what i know of with out looking into it. no point in looking to see whats different though as all the bits that are different are on mine anyway. i need to drive a earlier t5 some time to see how they drive

Off the bat £500 sounds a lot but if you take into account the cost of say, travelling up to Bromsgrove to HLM for example, petrol, food etc it doesn't seem quite so bad. I can see some advantage of a 400 mile round trip, you get to play on the way home :)

That cost me about £100-£110 in fuel, managing around 32mpg (I wasn't hanging about) Going direct, you'd be looking at 330 miles and £65 in fuel if you take it easy.
