Hi, Very simple really. Will be travelling down south in a few weeks and plan to stop off in Bromsgrove on the way for a treat. Specifically a transmission flush and a remap by Hamish at HLM. He quotes £350 for the remap and £70-80 for the transmission flush (which I think he will struggle to meet having read what the fluid costs). I have a currently stock 53 plate P2 V70R Geartronic with 90k on the clock. Serviced last week and full bill of health. Anyone running an HLM tune and able to give me your thoughts / before and after figures or more importantly how the car feels? Cheers, Ian

Is it a hlm remap or an autotech one?
Is it a hlm remap or an autotech one?
Need to discuss/clarify that further with him. Only managed a brief chat whilst at work today. He said that he 'works closely with autotech'. Looking at their website it suggests that he now writes his own remaps. He did state it would include a pre diagnostic and dyno run and a post remap run. I assume by previous testimonials he will take the time to iron out any issues if they occur. Any opinions either way?

I'd rather stick my d!ck in a blender than line McCableties pockets.
Really... Please expand on this. Something blow up?
LINK My last dealings with Hamish a few years ago, on work he (and his previous business partner, Adam Webber) had carried out on my S70. HLM at the time were the sole RICA dealers for the UK, soon after having their dealership taken away by RICA, plenty of speculation as to why. Since then HLM have aligned themselves with various software companies, each falling by the wayside, plenty of speculation as to why, not even sure he still deals with Autotech anymore? The link above won't really help you in how the 'HLM' remap with affect your car, I have no idea, but will give you a great insight into how he'll treat you if things go pairshaped. I was recently contacted by someone to tell me "there is also quite a large case going on against your friends at Bromsgrove as they ££££ed my mates car good & proper.." How much truth there is in that, or any details I do not know. By the way, on a different subject.. I heard you were looking at getting one of Greame's downpipes. I have one of his on my R, and am very pleased with it. Great workmanship, it's a good quality item. And for what it cost compared to a Feritta you can't go wrong!
