To be honest....I wish I'd bought one rather than the spoiler that I've got fitted now. I just didn't discover them in time :(
That's one seriously hot looking S60 R :)

Both looking well there Chris, a credit to you. The S60 looks lovely with that boot lid fitted, finishes the look of the car off perfectly.
Which car did you end up taking to the Ring? Any pictures?

Thanks Andy.
I took the S60 to the Ring for the first time. It was 100% spot on for the whole trip. Next year it'll be the ATR though!
I took loads of pics yeah. I just never got round to posting them up, I'll sort it out when I get time!

I know why I like it now because all the front lips I have seen on the P2's just cover the corners and not the whole front so they look daft

Post 632557 by graemewelch on 2013-08-04 22:25:39
that it im hoping around mine with two buckets tomora. looks like youve done a cracking job on both cars, your rear sits higher than the front on the s60. mine is the same, im on eibach springs. its the one thing suspension wise that i hate about mine. poxy i know but it annoys me so much i was tempted to get the angle grinder out pedro style. loving the tints. i fancy getting mine done when funds allow. bet the outer of your front grill would look great if was satin black or colour coded. keep up the good work and more pics the better

Lovely cars, tints looking good, really liking the S60.
Post 632563 by S70T5Chris on 2013-08-04 22:40:38
Cheers Graeme. I defo agree on the grill. It's something I thought of a couple of weeks ago myself.
I went with the Elevate springs from America, as they lower the rear more than the front (only 10mm or so), to bring it 'more' level than standard. But I do agree, it could do with a bit more in a perfect world. I looks worse as the picture was taken at a low angle.
The tints were a deal, got the ATR and R done for £280!

I haven't touched the fronts. All the glass had a very slight tint from the factory, and you're no longer allowed to mess with the front windows at all. It's not worth the agro of getting pulled for it. 2 Friends of mine have been pulled over and had to peel the tint film off at the side of the road!
Lovely looking motors there bud.

On the facelift model, there is no cutout for the rear exhausts. There is a very slight recess for the rear boxes, but not much. The standard boxes hang on show like that, but as they're black they don't show as much, not a lot you can do about it. I changed the rear section from what it was when I bought it, I personally, am super happy with the exhaust.
Both cars look Stunning Chris it must of been hard work.... How long did it take you?
Thanks Ian.
The accord didn't take too long. An hour or so maybe. It hasn't long been polished, so a wash off, blast over the paintwork with quick detailer, and some tyre gel, and she was good to go!
The S60R took around 4 hours. Washed off, clay bar'd, polished (megs ultimate), wheels waxed and tyre gel. I didn't have time to do the door/boot shuts and interior. Weekend hopefully!

Yeah one you made me!!
With a Feritta cat back. I did toy with the idea of going and seeing the guy that built the Accord exhaust. It's the only custom exhaust I've seen where the workmanship is better than any off the shelf system I've seen. Most people who get a 'custom' exhaust aren't that truthful when it comes to how good it actually is. Most custom exhausts I've seen have been utter bilge.
I'm open to options if anyone has any experience of a nice sounding exhaust on a P2 T5/R?
The S70 had a Feritta d/p and Miltek catback. It had zero drone at any RPM. Was nice and subtle when pottering, and sounded like a jet plane on full chat! Any chance of achieving that on a P2 R?
I've got an Elevate AMS to go on, so that will add some induction noise.

must of been a while ago, id forgot id made it for you. hope the qulaity of it was ok. i know what you mean about quality of some systems, im seen proper chod over the years. if it was me ifreplace the front section with a stright bit of pipe so it bolts to down pipe than sleeves over the exhaust wear the silencer used to be. that should beef it up a canny bit. that way if you dont like it you can alway get a sleeve welded on the ferrata and its back to norm

Nothing super exciting, but fitted new number plates to the ATR this week. The front plate is only 80mm deep, to fit in the bumper recess, looks a thousand times better IMHO.
I have a personalised plate to go on the S60, that's been on retention since January! I'll get that sorted shortly.
