After seeing the Result's some of you guys have been getting from Machine Polishing and after months of deliberation I have just splashed out on the Meguiars G220 v2 Dual Action Polishing Machine it comes with these products...

very good package mate, my advice is be very very careful with 105 ultra cut. Its one of the harshest compounds about and is designed to be used after you have colour sanded your car. It also powders very quickly so you need to use some quick detailer on your pad for each pad just to give you some more play time.
the 205 is amazing stuff which is designed to be used after 105. you can go straight to wax after using this stuff and the depth and claraty is amazing.
if you go on youtube and search (meguiars open garage, wet sanding) there are 5 vid's that give very good advice on the products you have bought and how to go about using them.

Finding the weight & the balance point of the machine between not enough spin (stalled pad - too much pressure) and no cut (too much spin and not enough cut) is where the technique lies.

The megs machine is quite heavy so you basically just need to support the head of the polisher and letvit do the work. For scratches just press a bit firmer, you will pick it up quite fast, its not hard

The V2 version doesn't stall mate, it has cruise control so keeps the same speed no matter how much pressure you do or don't put on it.

that kinda defeats the idea of a dual action polisher or sander, and also what makes them safer to use because as the slow they stop rotating and start to ossolate.
Im not saying the above isn't true but you might aswell just buy a rotery!

If you hold it at a stuppid angle against the paint it will stop rotating. The reason they are safer is because the rotation is a figure of 8 and there is far less heat build up.
