very nice job done looks much better:)
Post 621719 by Liddo on 2013-07-01 11:01:02
Thanks for the kind replies guys. Silvers not the best at showing the shine, but then again, it
doesn't show the dirt like the darker colours :D
Now to order a GROM and some 936 paint for my wheel to hide the bloody kerb marks ;)

Like all your cars, you've picked another that's in a great looking condition.
Post 621753 by dionbullock on 2013-07-01 15:38:58
Looking very shiny! :D I wish i had the patience to do this sort of cleaning/detailing to my car! A quick wash and wax is all she gets Im afraid :s
Any plans for a remap?
Dunno yet mate. New fronts discs, and a full service are the first things, then a GROM, then maybe new tyres all round as EVERY tyre is different! THEN maybe a remap, I'll give you a shout when Im ready, I'll need some advice
;)
And thanks again for all the kind replies, loving the Ovlov :D

Nice car , four hours well spent. At least you don't see all the scratches with silver, my black v70 has so many I start getting depressed if I look at them too often:help: Although when you stand back she looks beautiful - such a deep shine you cannot see any at all! Have yet to try clay ,see if they will come out.
Post 621822 by Liddo on 2013-07-01 20:26:27
Piece of cake claying, just bloody hard work getting in the nooks n crannies and keeping bits out of the clay. I dont think Id have another dark car if i could help it, lovely when clean but KEEPING them clean is another matter ;)
As you say, you see EVERY little scratch. I believe Silver is one of the colours that hide imperfections the best :D

I'v really cut back on cleaning my car, just can't be arsed with spending hours on it , every other week.

With that logic we'd all be driving around in cars with only a single cylinder, and equipped with nothing more than seats, pedals and a steering wheel. :P

claying wont remove swirls. it remove contaminates. you need polish/cutting compound to remove swirls

Fingers crossed I'll get to see it in full glory at the Wrexham meet - where I'll be covertly looking at robbing those bumpers and door strips for mine :)
