Hello all. Wat do u think of steam cleaning. Some people are for it. Some against. Any other ideas or recommendations
Ive done it before, i put plastic carrier bags lol around the ecu box, abs pump alternator, fuse box etc, just be carefull.
This is a Clean engine bay, not a painted one, or blinged one lol

But it is alot easier with the engine and box out lol
For most of the grime I just use a good de greaser, a stiff brush and some water. Most of the crap that's in and around the engine bay will be oil based so it's not going to put up much of a fightanyway. unless it's filthy I'd not risk the steam cleaner.
:stupid:Used to recommend carlach 68 special cleanser - but it's becoming increasingly hard to get hold off. Personally I am against steam cleaning. I'd follow the method above.
