I've been left alone now to do as I please with my V70 as our Dorris' attention is spent on her new toy lol

we had a black mark 3 golf 1.8t until a few weeks ago, great car, but we saw this and I've popped a new plate on it aswell.....yes Ive been very popular at home :pimp2:
Its chipped to 260bhp, manual (so when I drive it I turn into captain back ache) it has an amazing steering wheel...flat at the bottom....lovely 6 speed gearbox and handles amazingly for fwd....although it needs better tyres on the front. Since this photo Ive got slightly different 18" on, the face is polished but the insides are black.
Still prefer my R though

There's a guy around the corner from me who's trying to sell his white 2.0 TSI Golf, looks absolutely stunning. Yours must be seriously quick - how does it compare to the R? Dare I say quicker.........
Post 605657 by M-R-P on 2013-05-13 23:03:12
It's gonna be quicker mate :(
The TSI is turbocharged and supercharged so there's no lag - the s/c boosts from low down and then the turbo takes over to finish the job - nice (shame it's an overpriced German lump)

The 850 t5 was my missus' motor for the last 7 years but the fuel costs got too much (three figure fuel sums per week !) so now I drive the t5 and she's got a Citroen C4 1.6 diesel !

yep da wife drives a 2007 c4 grand picasso 1.8 16v, the only thing grand about it is how much plastic its made of lol

Our new car arrives soon. She'll be driving that instead of abusing the Sweed. It's an auto, so she won't snap my fekkin neck when she pulls out of our road :)

I've just sold the Mrs' car about half hour ago, had a year of total reliability in it.
God knows what's next, probably gonna have to be diesel
Bye Bye Celica :) x

My mrss drives a 2002 seat ibza 1.2.We`ve had it for 2.5years now, only 60ish k miles but not very economical if you compare to a 1.9tdi.

The Golf is a lovely car mate. We tried a couple out but the wife said there wasn't enough room inside in the boot for the dog, so she decided on an Audi A3 2.0 turbo petrol sportback S-Line spec. Its a 2007 model and weve had it 4 years now and she still loves it. Its fast enough when you want it to be 197bhp and pretty economical at around 33 mpg.
Can you tell we like German cars lol.

It was a lovely handling car, just a bit underpowered with 140bhp
On the lookout for another Ibiza TDi 130, I loved that little car

Spill the beans, what's she getting?

Other half has a v40 2000 reg auto 2.0 liter. Lowered as well.
Big enough for her, fast and nice to drive.
I didn't like it so I gave it to her and went for the v70.
She uses it a lot, lol, going out with the dogs, sometimes to her sister and maybe to the doctor.
500miles in 4 month.
At least I can use it for getting the caravan in and out the drive. He he
With the hedge and the wilderness of the road the v70 is just 12 cm to long, so the v40 is just right.

Seat Ibiza 1.4 16v on an 05. Not a bad little car but we need a bigger second car seeing as our family will soon be expanding (we hope).
We're tempted by a golf tdi mk4 either an Sdi or a pd 115. I'm an ex dubber so be nice to have a golf again. My dad has a mk5 1.6 fsi & he loves it.

MRP is right there's no lag on the gti, and yes the GTi is quicker, but, the R is stock at the moment, an upgrade to 280 might even things out a bit. Driving the R is more of an occasion than the GTI....plus its much rarer
Also doubt the gto will go as well as the R when its got 208k on the clock plus its missing a cylinder lol

Mines got a boggo 1.2 Suzuki Swift.
Nice enough as a town runabout but she`s itching to swap it for a mahoooosive pickup truck of some description.
