I've had the R a few weeks now since doing a full stage '0' on the engine. I can't get over the difference in performance especially in S mode with tracks off, turns into a very different car.
Sounds a lot smoother, picks up speed better and is a lot more reactive on throttle.
Its made me realise that you cant cut corners with the R, not in the same way as I did with the AWD, its a special car that demands the best - even down to the petrol you put in it.
I'm close to making some subtle changes to the outside of the car, got my private plate on and removed all rear 'chrome' badges, replaced with a single red R badge....plus a few other things which I will photograph once they are on the car.
I'm going to enjoy her now for a few months, might start thinking about brakes and power upgrade early winter.
Anyway, do I need to do stage '0' every year or every 12k etc

i do mine once a year...well check and replace the bits that need to be replaced....yes brakes defo mate lol..:wiggle:...looking forward to seeing the changes mate..

Your doing the right thing by spoiling her... Look after her mate they can be very touchy motors. I do mine once a year and change the Oil and filters every 6 months regardless of the miles.
Sit back and enjoy, don't drive yourself mad like me thinking of the next Mod before i've even finished the one I'm doing... Just relax and take your time. Mine is running a RICA 310 re-map this is something for you to think about as it makes the car go like Sh*t off a shovel... I've raced Standard R's and was up there bum all the way... Even the other driver said you can see mine has more Power... Think about it.

Bromsgrove have said they can do something power wise for £150 - nice guy left massage on my phone I need to call him back.
My other bits are on the car now, subtle stuff from Kerry - the quality of his work is amazing....need to get my camera sorted lol.
Phil, I'm taking some days off week after next (had to cancel this weeks leave) so will head over to yours :cool:

310..is your manual? I was aiming for 280 through my auto box, then next year think about getting more.....Phil is right though I need to sort the brakes asap....they are truly crap lol
The other thing I want to do is let the 5 pot sing....thinking of getting rid of centre box and fitting screamer pipe too..

No mine an auto mate.... Frankie had a striaght through exhaust on his Saffy and it sounded Mental

we should have an auto box appreciation section....just going to B&Q now to buy a hacksaw, i reckon drain pipe will replace the box no problem :uglyhamme
