Had the afternoon off today so me and Graham could have a go at getting his car looking nice for the Swedish day next week. It was a bloody warm sunny day and I now have a head like a raddish! Any way, we did a pretty spanking job... here's some pics... Image Image Image Image Image Eventually, Mrs. M-R-P showed up and we managed to throw a wet sponge over the sweed too. Here's some pics of both cars... Image Image Image Anybody else think this should be Graham's new sig pic? Image Image Image Image Image Image Image

Had a blast of a day, got very red though.....first sunburn of the year ! Thanks to Martin (again) for helping with the 'Big Clean' we also managed a few other jobs including tidying up the engine bay, swapping the wheel caps for Silver ones (at last) and cleaning the interior mats, you should have seen the dirt that came off them.....now for the pics Image Image Image Image Image Image

Looking lovely and shiny :D So what was the cleaning routine/products used? Did mine the other day and wasn't pleased with the results (too many scratches :( )
Looking lovely and shiny :D So what was the cleaning routine/products used? Did mine the other day and wasn't pleased with the results (too many scratches :( )
Wash, clay, wash again. Zymol cleaner wax, Autoglym gold sealer and Turtlewax Hard shell. Worth dye was used on some of the plastics and Megs tyre gel on window rubbers and some of the hoses in the engine bay. Used Demon shine pour n shine, in a spray bottle to do the wheels. Graham had some trim black stuff to do the engine plastics.

The dirt just hides all the scratches, and the big problem is the car was sat under some trees/by bushes for 18 months so the roof is a state with really ingrained crap that has gone too deep I fear. And the wheels are in a state (next job on the list, just got to decide which colour)

I've tried various products on the stains on my roof and bonnet (no thanks to a previous owner) without success but have yet to try this.

Great job there guys well done. What Model V70 is it? Not a fan of the aftermarket lights though, would look better with the later style Volvo ones imo. :)

Looks stunning, which is always the case when I see pictures of this car tbh. Not a fan of the headlights but you could do alot worse and it's all about making the car your own. I'd put money on the fact that regardless of how good it looks in the pictures it still looks miles better in the flesh which is difficult to believe when it looks that good in the pictures...
