Seriously mate, that R of yours looks the nutts, and certainly wouldnt be out of place. Blacky will be looking very dirty i reckon be the time she gets down there, i may take some water etc in a drum and give her wash before driving her to the meet. Sad.... yep lol

Do u think anything will stick to that shine?U left no grip for a dirt mate
Post 599894 by merc85 on 2013-04-23 22:20:58
You'd be surpised how much dirt the clay bare takes off even on a clean polished car after you wash it down. trouble is on black the brighter the black and shine becomes the more stone chips and defects you notice lol, the bonnet and roof are very bad on blacky :(

Lol, you're only saying that because you've not seen it in the flesh, it's a frikkin mess. The wheels really need shot blasting and re painting they're that bad.

and I am sure none of it is beyond your skill set Craig, anyway the idea of going to these car shows is for the people interaction not how clean your car is ;)

You're only saying that because yours is bleein spotless,lol.. I'd love to go but it's too soon and the car needs way too much work yet. I've trusted it on one 200mile trip because I had to, I'm not doing it again until I know it's in great condition and I can trust it.

Nice work Gav, if you're going to Haynes I'll have a look at it then. Unfortunatley, my T5 will be arriving with flaking wheels and a rusty wing but at the moment it's the least of my worries. ;)

No worries Gav, as I've got a 260-270 mile journey Home, so unless it's a dry day, she's going to get dirty anyway. I was looking at a buffer/mop thing yesterday at Costco for 20 odd quid, and I may give one a try, but on the Alfa before it's used on a Volvo.
