when i got up this morning with the plan of joining the mini fix meet i discovered the pigeon 633 squadron had dilivered an acurate bombing run over the bonnet and o/s/f wing! i set about cleaning the shi.....off and decided to get some polish and a quick coat of wax over the front...ended up with: snow foam to start. Wash with farecla detox shampoo. towel dry. a quick coat of s.r.p. and finish with Megs gold class carnuba on the bonnet roof and boot lid. Tony. P/S i have added under the bonnet shot for WD so he can see the IPD in place. If you'd seen the state of Sharkey's car you wouldn't have looked out of place....(ironic lol!!). But mine a Stribo's were pretty shocking, but mine is only washed once every 2 months.
I dont mind it a bit dirty but i cant leave bird sh17 on it i have a pet hate! Tony.
You could have washed it here, mine lives on a building site during the day so is always filthy.

Looking very nice Tony, the lines of the C70 are lovely, still looks modern even today. I removed the c70 badge from the back when i had mine and people didn't have a clue what it was but often thought it looked very expensive and Italian

Mate I spent half the day removing tar spots from mine.

Post 596361 by jotter22 on 2013-04-14 20:16:46

Lol i dont use mine enough to get tar spots on it! do you use a clay bar to get tar off?

Post 596362 by Sharkey R on 2013-04-14 20:19:34

I do 2 miles each way to and from work but the road was recently resurfaced but there isn't enough traffic to clear it quickly so my car got battered in it. No I use Autoglym tar remover. Had to use Autosol on the exhaust though as the tar on that was baked on.

if it's the same road as in your sig then you have to take the rough with the smooth looks a tasty bit of road!

Ha I wish, that pic was from a road in the Brecon Beacons lol.

Thats an impressive shine you have there Tony.... Always amazes how old our cars are and can still hold the Colour and look good. That looks like Wobbly's old IPD or one made the same? I remember the 1st time i saw his engine.... Now there is a man who can make impressive stuff and make it look good :B_thumb: Dave's old engine a year and a half ago... Image Image I just thought WOW! the 1st time he opened the Bonnet.

Loving your cone housing mate, that's deffo one for the mod list...

Post 596723 by Wobbly Dave on 2013-04-15 12:15:55

Tony - if you don't want or need the revotec flexible hose, then I will happily buy it back.

Post 596724 by Wobbly Dave on 2013-04-15 12:17:27
Loving your cone housing mate, that's deffo one for the mod list...
IPD will happily relieve you of the money for one. Their reasons for fitting it are dubious, if you watch the video. It's the IATs that count - but still the cone make a good noise.

Post 596736 by jotter22 on 2013-04-15 13:44:51

Its in my extra parts bin now Dave and you never know when you may need a bit....might go shiney in the summer! Tony.

Post 596793 by Wobbly Dave on 2013-04-15 16:40:19
